Long Weekend

Boy did I have a great weekend.  I'm going to recap by day, so grab something to eat, drink, take a restroom break, because this is going to be long.

Friday

My babies came home Friday afternoon.  They arrived at my office at 4:30 and I cried like a baby.  I gave them tons of hugs and just sat starring at them.  I think they got a little uncomfortable at times but because I hadn't seen them for almost two weeks I didn't care.  They were home and I was so excited.

We decided to have Bug's favorite food, pizza from Mellow Mushroom, for dinner.  It was amazing.  I love their pizza.  Then the hubs went to see Transformer's 3 and I got the girls in bed by 10:30.  Like I said, I was happy to have them home, so I let them stay up way too late.

Saturday

I was suppose to go for an 8 mile run.  It never happened.  I ended up sleeping late and instead of going for a run, decided to just let it go, enjoy my weekend and start my new training schedule on Monday.  I had a little mild panic attack but after a few deep breaths and the realization that its not the end of the world, I was fine.

We went to the hub's aunt's house in Warner Robins for lunch.  They had fried chicken, sweet potatoes, mac-n-cheese, cheesy potatoes (I love those things), green beans, lima beans, watermelon, cake, etc.  It was a free for all.  I ate a little bit of everything.  We then went swimming in their gorgeous pool (wish I had taken a picture) and Bug went down the slide.  Monkey went half way down the slide and finally after some coaxing, she decided to quit being the baby and be the big girl and swim around.  We left at 4 and Monkey was asleep not long after we got on I-75 heading home.

The night was spent watching Shrek Forever After and Despicable Me with the girls.  We all had a blast and after another night of letting them stay up way too late, the girls finally went to bed around 10:30, the hubs and I at 11:00.  It was a great day.

Sunday

The girls and I went to church on Sunday and afterwards we went home changed out of our Sunday best, got the hubs and went and ate at Logan's.  I had a three B1G1 meals for Logan's that were only able to be used on July 3 or July 4 and decided to use them.  So we set it up so that the girls could use one coupon and the hubs and I could use one.  Our total for the meal ended up being $17.84.  I also saw a couple in their eating and since I had one extra coupon, took it to them to use.  I decided to share the wealth.

After lunch, we went back home and Monkey went down for a nap.  My BFF had called the day before and asked if we (meaning Bug and I) wanted to go skating with her.  After thinking about it, we decided to go.  I'm so glad we did.  Bug and I had a blast.  I love to skate.  I skated a lot during my childhood, so it brings back a lot of good memories for me.  We plan on making this something we do at least twice a month.  We also plan on going in on Sunday evening because it's Customer Appreciation on that night at our skating rink and they only charge $3 per person.

Monday

Happy 4th of July.  I did start my new training schedule.  I ran 2 miles in 17:XX.  Let me say, taking 4 days off was great but even these two miles were tough.  The girls and I went outside for a little while but the sun kept popping behind clouds and it looked as though it was going to rain so we headed back inside after an hour and everyone took naps.  Around 4 we went back outside and the girls ate juice pops while sitting in their kiddie pool and I read my book.  At 5:30 my BFF came over and we grilled some chicken and then went and saw the fire works.

Here's Monkey watching the fireworks.  She loved them.  I was so happy that she loved them because when we did them at the house, she flipped out.

Here are some of the fireworks.  It's the best I could do on my crackberry.  We had a blast but stayed out way too late.  Both girls were tired after the long day.

Considering this is a small book, I'll go now.  I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July like we did.
