Weekend Review

Before I get into how my weekend was, let's start this Monday off with a giveaway over at Skinny Runner.  She's giving away a pair of CEP Compression socks and we all know how us runner's love some good compression socks.  Get over there and check out her post about them but please remember I really want to win.

Alright, let's dive right in on how my weekend went.  Friday night I had a salad of blackened chicken from Logan's.  I wanted to also eat the container the salad came in, it was that good.  The only downfall of the whole thing was I didn't ask for extra dressing and it could have used it.  Oh, well lesson learned.

Since I had a race Saturday morning (you can read the race recap here), I did my normal routine of a hot bath, shaved the legs, picked out the outfit (red shirt, black running pants, and my white arm sleeves) and then went to bed.  After the race, I took the girls up town to get Monkey's hair cut, since we had extra time Bug got her hair trimmed and then I dropped Bug off at her friend's birthday party and Monkey and I went to the grocery store.

Since we were having Monkey's birthday party on Sunday, I had some major, and I mean major cleaning to do.  The tubs were scrubbed, toilets were scrubbed, floors were swept and mopped, kitchen was cleaned from top to bottom, clothes were folded and the only person to actually have her clothes put up was Monkey.

Sunday we had Monkey's birthday party.  What a great way to spend a lovely Sunday afternoon, chasing kids all over the yard, making sure gifts are not opened by the wrong person and that everyone went home with at least one kid hopped up on cake and ice cream.  We had a blast.  My sister and I danced to Just Dance on the Wii.  I have never laughed as much as I did while playing that game.  It was a blast.

As for the time change, I'm hoping to be adjusted by Friday.  It always gets me the first few days but I do love spring forward and I'm really looking forward to being able to run after I get home from work and not having to worry about the sun going down before I get finished.  Love it.

Have a wonderful Monday.

Angela :)
