Meeting Expectations

As many of you know, I do not make New Year's Resolutions.  I decided many years ago, that I'm just not going to keep them so why make them.  Instead I started making goals for myself.

Goal No. 1.  Actually get my running done on the days I'm suppose to.  CHECK.  Yesterday, believe it or not, I actually got up out of bed and got my four miles done before work.  It felt great and so did I.

Goal No. 2.  Start back with the abs class.  CHECK. I'm going to abs class today.  I'm pretty excited because I'm trying out a new exercise top that I got from Old Navy.

Goal No. 3.  Start back with the cross training, i.e. spin classes.  I plan on adding the spin classes back into my life.  I'm contemplating on going Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings.  That way I only have one day where I'm doing two different forms of exercises and not overdoing it.  This also means that I will have to have full cooperation from the hubs to go pick up Monkey from daycare, if he's available.  I'm hoping this will go over well.

Goal No. 4.  Cook more healthy meals at home.  I've been cooking more at home lately.  I have ended up spending more at the grocery store, but it also means I'm not wasting money on eating out.  We have been having some real good food lately and I'm really enjoying planning my meals a week in advance.

There you have it.  I believe that these are some goals that I can actually obtain throughout the year.  Especially considering I will be starting marathon training toward the end of this year.

Here's a sneak peek of how the rest of my week will look:

Tuesday - 30 min abs class.
Wednesday - 4 mile run/45 minute spin class
Thursday - 4 mile run/30 min abs class
Friday - 30 minute spin class/30 minutes of free weights
Saturday - 4 mile run

Have a wonderful Tuesday all.
Angela :)
