Well we left Tuesday morning heading to the inlaws house for Thanksgiving. It's about a 4 1/2 hour drive but after you add in the stopping for pee breaks and getting something to eat, the drive over ends up being about 6 hours or so. We never hurry the drive and just enjoy it. This year we decided to head to the mall with the girls in tow and walked around for about an hour. We then went and visited the hub's grandmother in the hospital and then finally headed over to the house. Even though they are an hour behind us, I'm always in bed early (for them at least) and this year was no different.
I did get in a 5 mile run and it was suppose to be speedwork but when I got started I encountered some hills and oh holy hilly. I was in pain and huffing and puffing before a mile was even completed so I decided to slow down and just enjoy the run in a different area. It was nice.
I was planning on getting a run in on Thanksgiving but didn't. I had ran Tuesday and Wednesday and didn't want to mess up the hip, so I decided to back off, which resulted in me not running again. I plan on going tomorrow.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know I did and now I'm having to get back to my regular eating habits and get ready for next Saturday's 10k. More on that in the week.
Have a lovely rest of the weekend.
Angela :)
